CASE STUDY: Healing an Addiction to Red Meat

Client: Magdalene (name protected for confidentiality)

This weekend I looked with Magdalene at the fears and addictions that were causing her to be out of alignment with Source.

As soon as I looked at her energy, I saw a large, strong buffalo.  This told me that she had an addiction to red meat, but also an addiction to pushing herself too hard out of fear of not having enough time.  Pushing herself so hard was energetically causing her to push Source away, making her connection to Spirit less accessible than it can be when in balance and healthily aligned.

Magdalene had developed this addiction to red meat in an unconscious attempt to reconnect with the buffalo, which had been sacred to her in her past life as a native american.  Connecting with the buffalo would mean connecting to the earth and to her roots, and becoming more grounded into the earth, but this connection was not being achieved through her consumption of red meat.

In that past lifetime, she had lived harmoniously and at a slow, steady pace- until settlers invaded.  Magdalene felt the weight of the impending clock as she witnessed mass destruction at a rapid pace- of the land, the animals, her people.  This is where her fear of not having enough time, and the addiction to overworking herself that followed, originated from.

I helped to facilitate the release of this trauma and the completion of Magdalene’s past life.  I received messages that she, like all of us, has all of the time that she needs.  “Release your fear of limited time, and time will stretch and open in up in ways you would never had thought possible”.

To heal her addiction to red meat, it will be important for her to connect with the buffalo in a healthy way- being in their presence if she can, honoring them with pictures and symbols in their likeness throughout her space, and meditating on them.  It will be very healing for her to integrate buffalo medicine into her being, replacing her unhealthy pattern of pushing herself against the clock with buffalo’s calm, steady strength.
